The Primary Health Care Team
In addition to the Doctors, the following are available for advice and consultation in the Surgery.

Practice Nurses
The Practice Nurses help the doctors to carry out many of the above listed services.

District Nurse
The District Nurses are in Surgery on  Monday and Thursday mornings for dressings, removal of sutures, ear syringing and advice. Appointments available by telephoning the District Nurse directly on 01978 262477.

Health Visitor
Dr Phillip Alstead and Nurse Nia Hughes with the Health Visitor hold a Baby Clinic every Tuesday morning between 9.30 am and 11 am. No appointment is necessary. They are available for advice and immunisations for the under 5s.

Community Midwives
The Midwives visit the Surgery twice a week for booking of pregnant women and to provide antenatal care. To contact the Surgery Midwives directly for an appointment when pregnant telephone: 01978 364146, they are based at Hightown Clinic.

At times there may be trainee health care professionals - or persons become attached to the Practice. Please inform their mentor if you object to them being present in your consultation.
